Diversify Your Income Base With Paid Online Surveys - Get Paid to Take Online Surveys and Prosper

Consumer preference surveys have been around for a long time. The speed and low cost of the Internet have caused them to grow and morph into paid online surveys which have become a big business online.

Thousands of surveys are being taken every week. Tens of thousands of survey participants are getting paid to take online surveys and are receiving checks in the mail each month as compensation for surveys taken.

To qualify you just need to be a consumer, over 18 years of age, with access to the Internet and sufficient computer skills to be able to send and receive e-mails. That's it!

To get started and begin receiving your checks in the mail, you need to get your name and demographic information (Age, gender, occupation, etc.) into the files of good survey makers. You do this by making applications online to each of them separately.

The challenge will be to locate the good ones that pay in cash or equivalent. There are some 770+ survey makers in the U.S. and 3,000+ worldwide. But only about 20% of these are reliable (won't sell your data to sales companies) and will actually pay in cash or points or gift certificates that can be redeemed for cash.

The best way to find these is through a good paid online surveys guide company. There are many of these that maintain current lists of survey makers, which are good and which are not. For a small one-time membership fee they will give you a copy of their current list of good survey makers.

It is important to understand that there are two ways that paid online survey guide companies make money. One is from the membership fees paid by you and other members. The other is from recruiting fees paid by survey makers. The good survey makers do not pay recruiting fees. Most of the rest do.

So when you encounter "free lists" of survey makers from "free" sites, you know that their entire income comes from recruitment fees and there are not likely to be many if any survey makers that pay in cash on such lists! Even some of the paid membership sites include some survey makers who pay them fees on their lists.

To find a good paid survey guide company look for one with a STRONG 60-90 day money-back guarantee, backed by a bank or financial company such as PayPal or ClickBank. Most important, look for a low refund rate within that guarantee.

Low refund rates mean happy clients. Clients who used their list, took surveys and got paid in cash. Clients who felt that they got their money's worth. High refund rates mean many unhappy clients. Clients who did not make any money with their list and ended up demanding their money back.

Look for a low (3-6%) refund rate. Avoid any paid survey guide company with a refund rate that is either unknown (means high; if it were low they would be bragging about it!) or is as high as 9% or more.

When you choose your guide company and get your copy of their list, it will be important to sign up with every preferred survey maker on the list. You usually average 1-2 surveys a month from each. The more you sign up with the more surveys you get, the more money you make.

So if you decide to have a go at paid online surveys, and do things right (follow the plan above) how much money can you make when you get paid to take online surveys?

Your exact income will depend on your demographics, your diligence in pursuing and taking surveys and the number of good survey makers with which you are signed up. However, most more or less serious survey takers report incomes of $300 to $700 a month with many reporting incomes of $1,000 a month or more.
